5 stars
Recently stayed for a couple of nights at this campsite while touring the area on motorbikes with a friend.
The host, Mark, was brilliant—super friendly, full of local knowledge, and genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve come across. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
The campsite itself is lovely—quiet, friendly, and very well kept. All the amenities were clean and well looked after, which made the stay even better.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Couldn’t have picked a better campsite 👍

Hidden Gem
Amazing camp site – really a hidden gem. Campsite is always clean and civilized – the 10:30 curfew is adhered to by all, noise is never an issue. Toilet block is cleaned and checked regularly. The owners are always on hand for any problems and Mark the campsite manager is an absolute pleasure to deal with – no problem gets left unsolved!! Bus stop is at the end of the lane and the buses are very regular all day. The cottages are all lovely, nicely decorated and maintained with private outdoor areas.#

Beautiful small and quiet campsite in a great location. The owners are really lovely and take the time to interact with their guests. They even brought lemon drizzle cake and eggs over from their chickens that roam freely on the site. The site is very well kept, immaculate pitches and a really nice toilet and shower block that feels quite cosy inside. Only a 30 minute walk to Harrogate or a few minutes drive, down the road. From the beautiful Ripley Castle and you can take a short team ride from Harrogate to York so the location is perfect. Can’t wait to visit this beautiful camp site again.

Fantastic caravan site, we love the peace and quiet.
It’s always spotlessly clean and tidy and they don’t try to pack everyone in to maximise the income.
The kids are free to play and have fun without the need for a play area. It means they make their own fun with plenty of room to play games.
We love this site and keep coming back!

We took our campervan last night and what a perfect campsite! The showers are by far the best we have ever experienced at a campsite. The owner was so friendly and helpful, even offered to drop us in Harrogate. Wonderful views and so peaceful. We will definitely be back!

My partner and our two boys (4 and 8) had the best two-night stay. We were so impressed by all the thoughtful little touches and attention to detail throughout our visit.
From the fresh mint and blackberries by the sink to enjoy with your drinks, to the little list of the chickens’ names and the warm “good morning” greetings from the owners, everything had been so carefully thought through. These personal touches really made our stay feel extra special.
We originally booked due to the proximity to Stockeld Park, but we enjoyed our stay so much that we’re already hoping to return next year and explore more of the attractions in the area.
Thank you for such a welcoming and memorable stay — we absolutely loved it!

Just having a coffee and taking in the wonderful views before getting ready to leave
Set just a couple of miles outside of Harrogate once you are down the farm lane you are in a different world so peaceful and quiet
Friendly welcome from Mark who explained the workings of the site and is knowledgeable on local areas
Amenities block spotless
2 buses per hour to Harrogate or about £7 in a Uber
Lots of takeaways deliver to site
So if you want a peaceful getaway this is the place.

Lovely small quiet, clean site. Well placed for exploring local area on foot, cycle, car or bus – stops conveniently placed very close to site. Number of supermarkets close by.
Bonus that there are a number of different laminated walking routes with instructions available to borrow. Also a parking disc is available to borrow for the zoned areas in Harrogate.
Only 2 showers & toilets but we never had to wait. Plenty of hot water & warm wash block. Shower room excellent in that there’s plenty of space to hang your things (& a seat) to get dry & changed separately from the shower cubicle itself.
Cafe on site which is pleasant & a nice treat for breakfast or afternoon cake!
Rachel the owner helpful with local info & readily contactable.
