16 Pitches

Our lovely little tent camping and caravan site of 16 pitches is quiet and peaceful open all year round perfect for adults, children and pets.

At The Cud Life, we keep things intentionally small and limit each booking to a maximum of four adults across one or two pitches, unless it’s a whole site hire.

We have plenty of suggestions in area with places to visit and events.

Our Quiet Site

We have 16 pitches, with a mix of hardstanding and grass.

We’re a friendly, welcoming site and you won’t be disturbed as we have a 10.30pm quiet rule, which is enjoyed and respected by us and our lovely regular guests.

Day Visitors: Camping guests are allowed to have limited day visitors, but all must be pre booked/ agreed prior to their arrival. We can only host up to four people who know each other at one time, including staying guests and there’s a £5 per person visitor charge.

Location Location Location

  • Public footpaths run through the farm and we have printed walks of the local area available free of charge.
  • Bus stop at end of track and taxis plentiful in Harrogate due to it being a conference town.
  • Our shower and toilet block is unisex with fully-enclosed shower pods and large changing rooms, making it ideal for families and individuals. (No push buttons on showers or coins needed).
  • The block also has a baby-changing unit, heated towel rails, non-slip flooring, wide doors, wash basins and soap dispensers, hand dryers, toilet rolls, shaver sockets, hairdryer and straighteners. (Is this camping or glamping?!). You can have the radio on too, to sing out in the shower if you wish!
  • The washing-up sinks and draining racks have the best ever views across the fields down to the River Nidd, making a boring job the best it can be.
  • Excellent 5G mobile signal.
  • Central chemical waste point on site along with grey water disposal.
  • For security and peace of mind, the site is staffed around the clock.

Some FAQs

Our campsite manager Mark takes great pride in making sure things run smoothly for all guests. Pitches, whether grass or hardstanding, are thoughtfully allocated across adult-only and family-friendly areas.

• Caravans & Motorhomes are always on hardstanding, so no need to worry about sinking or getting stuck. You’ll still have a patch of grass next to your pitch, perfect for popping your feet up with a brew.
• Campervans can go on grass, but it does depend on the weather. If the heavens look likely to open, we’ll make sure there’s a hardstanding pitch ready for you. We do like to keep the grass looking lush without tyre marks.
• Tents will always be pitched on grass during dryer times (but if very damp underfoot, we may need to place you on hardstanding (tarmac chippings), we recommend having heavy duty pegs with you).

To help maintain a peaceful atmosphere, we don’t accept bookings from groups of more than four adults who know each other.

We are open all year round.

No minimum nights. One‑night stays are absolutely fine with us.

Electric Hookup points are 16 amps.

(We don’t have a drive over grey water pit at the moment)

We don’t reserve specific pitches in advance, which gives us the flexibility to accommodate different lengths of stay and it means if you’re loving it here and fancy staying an extra night or two, we can often make that happen.

Availibility

Our up-to-date availability for the campsite is here (and also on the UK campsite website, but DO NOT book using the form on there)
ALWAYS book via our own Campsite Booking form

If it’s showing as full on there, we will definitely be full but please like and follow our Facebook page  where we always post cancellations on a ‘first come first served basis’.
